Gus Hansen ($48,499), OMGClayAiken ($196,189.50) and LarsLuzak ($355,284) played HA at FullTilt.net. Later on in the game OnTheRize and tsarrast joined the table. They played at the Ivey a 6 max table that plays HA with the blinds $500/$1000.

One of the larger hands at the table was between OMGClayAiken and LarsLuzak. There was a pre-flop raise of $3000 which they both called as well as OnTheRize. The flop came [6h 5d Th] and LarsLuzak bet $8,000 and at this time OMGClayAiken took a little time and then raised it to $24,200. OnTheRize folded while LarsLuzak calls. The turn was a [2d] and LarsLuzak checked and then OMGClayAiken did the same. The river was a [8s] and they again both check. They both show and OMGClayAiken had [6d 4d] for a pair of Sixes while LarsLuzak had [Td Jd] and won the pot with a pair of Tens. The pot was worth $57,398.

Another large hand was between OnTheRize and OMGClayAiken. A normal pre-flop raise of $3,000 and then a flop of [7d 2c 9d]…OMGClayAiken then bet $6,800 while OnTheRize took a couple seconds and raised to $29,400. OMGClayAiken then re-raised to $52,000 and then without hesitation OnTheRize called. At this time they both showed their hands and OMGClayAiken had [6s 7s 9c 8c] while OnTheRize showed [Jh Qd Kd Jc]. Gus Hansen vs OMGClayAiken at the Hansen Knockout

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Gus Hansen played OMGClayAiken each starting with $50k and I was there from the start. They played at the Hansen Knockout which has a reserved seat for Gus Hansen and has room for one other player. The limits at the table were $500/$1000 and the game was Omaha Hi played at FullTiltPoker.net.

I haven’t written much lately because I have been busy but also because there has been less action at the high stakes tables. This could be because of the tournaments going on right now but hopefully with the holidays over poker players will get back to grinding at the full tilt.net tables and I will have some good high stakes reporting.

The largest hand at the table had Gus Hansen raising to $3k pre-flop and OMGClayAiken raising to $9k, Gus Hansen then took some time and raised it again to $27k which OMGClayAiken then called. The flop was [As 6d Jd] and OMGClayAiken then check’d while Gus Hansen bet $18k…OMGClayAiken took time (most likely taking a deep breath) and then went all-in raising $72,699. Gus Hansen called with his last $20,497.50. At this time they both showed and OMGClayAiken had [Ks Qd 7d Qs] while Gus Hansen showed [5c Jh Ad Ah]. The turn and river were not enough help for OMGClayAiken which were 3s and 3d. Gus Hansen took down the pot with a full house (Aces full of threes) and raked the pot worth $130,995.

At this time OMGClayAiken added $64k to the table making his total $100k which would help him play against the Gus Hansen stack of $130,994.50. Though after 2 hands Gus Hansen commented “Im gonna take a little break with my first win in decades.”….seems like Gus Hansen was on a cold streak and wanted to enjoy his big hand.

When Gus Hansen left he had $129,994.50.

Phil Ivey ($164,091), OMGClayAiken ($128,898) and Ziigmund ($174,491) played $500/$1000 HA (poker mixed game). They played at the Ivey Mix table and with these 3 high stakes players you know you are going to get some monster poker pots and they didn’t disspoint.

One of the hands had all three players go to the flop after a raise by Phil Ivey to $3500 and then a call from OMGClayAiken and Ziigmund. The flop of came [3c Kh 2d] and Ziigmund bet $10,500 and Phil Ivey folded while OMGClayAiken (after checking) took some time and called the bet. The river was a [Td] and this time OMGClayAiken threw out the bet which was $31,500….Taking some time to make a decision Ziigmund wen’t over the top raising it to $122,000 and OMGClayAiken quickily called putting his last $44,299 and was all-in. The river was a [4s]. Ziigmund showed [3h Ad Ks Jc] and had Kings and Threes while
OMGClayAiken had [9s 6d Qs Kd] and only had a pair of kings. Ziigmund then raked in the monster pot worth $183,098 while OMGClayAiken bought in for another $20k.

Another large hand was between Ziigmund and Phil Ivey. Phil Ivey raised to $3k pre-flop which was called. The flop was [Th 5c 6s] and Ziigmund checked while Phil Ivey bet $5k which Ziigmund called. The turn was a [8s] and this time Ziigmund bet $14k … which didn’t phase Phil Ivey who then raised it to $45k which Ziigmund called. The river was a [Qd] and Phil Ivey bet $89k and at this point Ziigmund layed his hand down and Phil Ivey took the hand down mucking his cards and raking in the pot worth $106,500.

The largest hand while watching was between OMGClayAiken and Ziigmund while they were playing Pot Limit Hold-em. OMGClayAiken raised to $3,500 and Ziigmund then re-raised to $11,500 which OMGClayAiken called. The flop was [Qc 7s Jc] and Ziigmundbet $17,000 which OMGClayAiken called after taking some time to think about the decision. The river was a [Kc] and this time Ziigmund went all-in with $88,884.50 and got a quick call from OMGClayAiken. On the showdown Ziigmund [Qs As] had three of a kind kings while OMGClayAiken [7h 7d] had a full house, Sevens full of queens….OMGClayAiken then raked in the pot worth a cool $309,768!

John Juanda, OMGClayAiken and Trex313 Play at Full Tilt

Friday, October 31st, 2008

John Juanda ($102,296.50), OMGClayAiken ($71,098.50) and trex313 ($49,600) played at RailHeaven (6 max) at FullTiltPoker.net. Also playing at the poker table was lady marmelade ($40,000) and Vaga_Lion ($50,000).

The first hand that I am going to write about was between Vaga_Lion and lady marmelade. After the hole cards were dealt Vaga_Lion raised to $3k and lady marmelade went over the top and raised to $9,500 after a little bit of thinking Vaga_Lion decided to raise all-in which was called by lady marmelade who had $33,500 left. Lady marmelade showed [Ks Qs] while Vaga_Lion showed [As Ac] the flop was [7s Ts Td] … turn [Qc] and the river was [9d] no help to Lady marmelade who needed a J, K or another Q. Vaga_Lion took down the $86,497 pot with his pocket aces holding up.

After a couple hands another large pot was played and this time it was between lady marmelade and trex313. Lady marmelade raised to $3,500 and was called by trex313 in the big blind. The flop was [2h 9s 7d] and trex313 bet $4,800 and lady marmelade raised that to $14,000. This didn’t deter trex313 because he went over the top again to $63,593 and lady marmelade called with $25k. They both flip over their cards and trex313 had [Ad Jh] and lady marmelade had [Ah 9dh]. The turn was [5c] and the river was [Th] neither any help to the trailing trex313. Lady marmelade took the pot with a pair of nines and took with it $85,497.

The next hand I will talk about was a monster hand between Vaga_lion and John Juanda. There was a pre-flop raise of $3,000 by lion and he was called by marmelade and Juanda. The flop of [7c 3d Ad] made marmelade check and Vaga_Lion bet $6,500, marmelade folds and Juanda called. The turn was a [8d] and Jaunada bet $14k after taking some time but was then raised by Vaga_Lion to $42k. At this point John Juanda took awhile to think about his next play but soon enough he raised to $85,292.50 going all-in which was called by Vaga_Lion with $28,997. At this point John Juanda shows [Qd 4d] while
Vaga_Lion shows [8c 8h]. The river was a [As] pairing the board giving Vaga_Lion a full house while Juanda’s flush goes down the drain because of this. Vaga_Lion then took the monster poker pot worth $163,991…While John Juanda mulls his huge beat on the river…

When I stopped watching the chip counts were:

  • lady marmelade ($134,683)
  • John Juanda ($107,792.50), is sitting out
  • Vaga_Lion ($157,991)
  • OMGClayAiken ($85,093.50)

OMGClayAiken, Urindanger and Eric Liu Play Omaha

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

OMGClayAiken ($59,791) Urindanger ($59,694) and Eric Liu ($39,492) played at the $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha game at Full Tilt Poker.com. Also at the poker table was Baisti ($16,995), Bleachbum ($15,800) and Gus Hansen ($27,979) but he was sitting out. Gus Hansen ended up leaving and I never saw a hand he played with Cole Smith ($8,000) replacing him.

The first full hand I watched was a good one with Urindanger dealt pocket kings with a flop of [Js Ks 5d]. After the flop Urindanger raised and right after Bleachbum went all-in with his own pocket pair (aces). There was a quick call by Urindanger and the turn was the last king and the river a Jack. The board showed [Js Ks 5d Kc] [Jc] and Urindanger won with 4 kings and raked in a pot worth $31,798.

Well the table ended pretty abruptly as they all left at about the same time. The last big hand was a $27k hand where OMGClayAiken beat Baisti.

Well I guess it makes for a short blog post and top hand history.
