Mike Matusow Plays Sirens Heads Up at FullTiltPoker.net

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Mike Matusow played heads up against Sirens in a $300/$600 Limit Omaha H/L game. I was able to watch from the beginning and both players started with $12k.

Mike Matusow did quite well in the game including a hand where they both called the big blind pre-flop. After the flop Matusow bet $300 which was called by sirens. On the turn Matusow checked and this time sirens bet $600 and Matusow then re-raised to $1,200 which Sirens called. Matusow bet $600 on the river which was called by Sirens. On the showdown Matusow showed an Ace high straight taking down the pot worth $4,779.50.

A few hands later was another top hand where after the hole cards Sirens raised to $600 which Matusow called. On the flop Matusow bet $300 and was called. The turn Matusow bet $600 and was then quickly raised to $1200 which he called. On the river Matusow $600 bet one more time and was called by Sirens. The river came and Matusow showed another straight but this time a king high straight and won the pot worth $5,399.50.

After about 50 hands Matusow had doubled his stack while Sirens added on to give himself an additional $12k to play with.

One of the bigger hands at the table was between Mike Matusow and EazyPeazy. They were both betting the whole way with a bet from one and a raise from the other. They were betting $4k on turn and river. When they both showed their cards they must have been dissapointed to learn that they were holding the same hand. They both had a five high straight with A2 in their hands and [Kh 3d 5d 8s 4s] on the board.

After about 20 hands Mike Matusow started sitting out and EazyPeazy and Stevebets duked it out at the table. They had a lot of $15k+ hands between them and made the heads up battle a good one. One of the hands saw bets from both sides with stevebets leading the charge. In the end Stevebets lost the hand with a smaller two pair. Mike Matusow Plays Omaha Hi/Low

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Mike Matusow ($33,694) played $300/$600 Limit Omaha H/L against stevesbets ($15,063), TorontoToro ($4,187.50), TheComeUp ($15,798) and charzard ($30,861.50). They played at the Drive (6 max) table at Full Tilt.com.

I haven’t watched a Limit Omaha H/L game in a bit and when I usually do it always seems like Mike Matusow is a part of them. The game was averaging a respectable $3,729 per pot and 112 hands per hour with a 43% Plr per flop.

The largest hand I saw played at the table was between Mike Matusow and TorontoToro. Mike Matusow was betting and getting re-raised by TorontoToro through out the hand. Finally the last bet Mike Matusow checked and TorontoToro bet $600. Mike Matusow took some time and was deciding between laying down the hand or calling…He choose to call and it was the right decision. Mike Matusow had [As Ks 4s Jd] two pair, Jacks and Tens, for high while TorontoToro had [Ac 5c 2d 4h] a pair of Tens, for high. Matusow raked in the pot worth $7,497.

Mike Matusow and Allen Cunningham Play HORSE

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Mike Matusow ($13,094) and Allen Cunningham ($14,729.50) played $300/$600 HORSE at FullTiltPoker.net. Also playing at the poker table was Slick Puppy ($6,294), DAT MOOSE ($15,919), NO IT ALL ($3,744) and imabigkidnow ($33,064.50).

Allen Cunningham at some points sat out and would watch a couple hands then would sit back down at the table. There weren’t any large hands but lots of $3k+ hands. I would have thought there would be bigger hands but it always seems like the Mike Matusow tables are never that active in terms of number of high stakes hands.

After watching for about 75 hands the table broke up after Mike Matusow and Allen Cunningham played two heads up hands. They left with:

Mike Matusow ($28,390)
AllenCunningham ($12,744)

Mike Matusow Plays HORSE

Mike Matusow ($49,090.30) played $500/$1000 HORSE against Mark Weitzman ($37,428), Doesburg ($29,061.25) and Boosted J ($9,738.75). They played at the Pineview table which is a 9 seat table but theren’t weren’t many high stakes players on tonight so it was only the 4. Though a little later in the game HoSS_TBF joined the table with $20k.

The table had a lot of $10k+ hands. Nothing really over that though but there was enough action at the table that made it interesting. I looked at a couple hand histories and after about 100 hands their isn’t much to talk about. I put some of the hands in the Top hands … but nothing really jumped at me to really breakdown and discuss.

Mike Matusow started to sit out and I decided to stop watching the table after about 100+ hands. When I left the chip counts were:

Hoss_TBF ($26,642)
LoLiNa ($10,000)
EazyPeazy ($15,268.50)
Doesburg ($45,355.25)
Mark Weitzman ($24,147)
