Durrrr Plays Heads Up Against Ziigmund

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Durrrr Played Heads Up Against Ziigmund at the $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi table at FullTiltPoker.net. They both sat down with $100k.

FullTiltPoker.net has updated their hand history console and for some reason I can’t find the hand history in text format. They now show a replay of the action but even that is hard to use with the pause function not currently working. For the time being I am going to talk about the major hands with the pot size, cards and community cards. I won’t really have much information on the bets that happened during the hand until FullTilt fixes the current issues.

After about 20 hands of back and forth with a couple pots in the 15k range a large hand was played with a pot worth $167,996.50. The community cards were: 7h, 2h, 6d, 9s, Ac. Ziigmund had 7s, 10d, 8h, 5h and Durrrr had: 3h, 10s, 7c, 9c. Ziigmund won the pot with his ten high straight.

Another hand had Durrrr winning the hand after Ziigmund folded after durrrr re-raised ziigmund’s bet of $12k. Durrrr won the hand worth $39,600.

A hand worth $107,999.50 was Ziigmunds after he raised durrr’s bet of $33k to $99k with a pot of $40k which durrr folded.

The last hand of the match was durrr’s after betting $57k on a $84k pot and ziigmund folding the hand. At the end of the poker action players had:

Durrrr: $201,689.75

Ziigmund: $198,281.25

Durrrr Challenge: Durrrr vs. Patrik Antonius

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

At this point many know of the Durrrr Challenge. It is a challenge made by Tom Dwan (durrrr) who has challenged the online poker world putting up $1.5 million dollars for whoever beats him in 50,000 hands (4 tables simultaneously) . If he wins then the loser pays $500k if he loses he has to pay the full $1.5 million giving players 3 to 1.

The challenge has been accepted by Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine and Phil Ivey. Patrik Antonius is first up and they will be playing 4 tables of Pot Limit Omaha Hi. FullTiltPoker.net has opened up special durrrr challenge tables that are heads up and are $200/$400.

At the start of today they had played for 9 hours and 29 minutes. Patrik Antonius was in the lead with $56,177.60 after 2,925 hands. This lead is not very large and at any point this could change.

Full Tilt Poker Durrrr Challenge

The first hand I saw at the durrrr challenge 2 table was worth $103,999. I was able to see durrrr call a bet of $30,8000 by Patrik Antonius and win the pot with a flush king high against Patrik Antonius queen high flush.

Here is an interesting conversation that they had mid game. There was a $500/$1000 HA game being played by Gus Hansen and others.

durrrr: theres 2 500/1ks running
durrrr: u want to play here or there?

Phil Ivey Plays Durrrr at Full Tilt.com

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Phil Ivey ($82,792) played against durrrr ($477,974.50) at the Ivey Mix HA table at Full Tilt.com. The blinds at the table were $500/$1000. They were also playing at the Ivey Thunderdome with blinds of $500/$1000 and the game was Pot Limit Omaha Hi.

This report is on the Ivey Mix table mainly because I was watching both but reporting on a $253k hand was to much to pass up. The hand was Pot Limit Hold-em and Phil Ivey raised to $3k which durrrr called. The flop was [Td 3s 4s] and durrrr checked while Phil Ivey bet $4k which durrrr then raised to $13,300 which Ivey called. The turn was a [Ts] and after a bit of thinking durrrr bet $23,600 which Ivey then raised to $74,000 which didn’t take long before durrrr raised all-in….which cost Phil Ivey an additional $36,385.50 to call as he went all-in (and was the smaller stack). At this time durrrr showed [Tc Ac] while Phil Ivey had the flush with [8s Js]. The river was a [Qh] not improving either hand and Phil Ivey took down the monster pot worth $253,370.50.

A few hands later they had another large hand with Ivey raising to $3k pre-flop and durrrr re-raising to $9k which Phil Ivey called. The flop was [Js Th 8h] and durrrr bet $11.4k which Ivey called. The turn was a [5d] and durrrr waited and then bet $31,200 which Ivey called. The river was [2h] and durrrr checked which Ivey followed suit. Durrrr showed a straight while Phil Ivey showed a ten high flush and took the pot worth $103,199.50.

At the end of about 80 hands the chip counts were:

Ivey, Lederer, trex313, Hansen and durrrr Play at the Ivey Mix

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

Phil Ivey ($58,500), Howard Lederer ($127,491), trex313 ($35,581.50) Gus Hansen ($105,068.75), durrrr ($50,386), David Oppenheim ($79,594), Niki Jedlicka ($21,497), Chau Giang ($39,497) played at the Ivey Mix at FullTiltPoker.net. Usually there are only 5-6 players max at the table but I guess everyone was feeling like some poker action as the table was filled with 1 on the wait list. Later ziigmund sat down after OnTheRize who was sitting out left the table

It is always interesting when you have a full table because players play tighter (obviously) and their are a lot less hands per hour. The pots though were pretty high with the average at $24k.

The largest hand at the table was between Howard Lederer and Ziigmund. Ziigmund raised to $4,500 after the hole cards and everyone else folded but Lederer. On the flop of [Qc 6d Kd], Lederer checked while Ziigmund bet $10,500. After a little time Lederer raised to $35k which didn’t take long before Ziigmund pushed his stack all-in adding another $64,997 to call….which Lederer eventually did after taking almost all the time he had. The cards where then exposed and Ziigmund had [4d 7s Ks Kc] while Howard Lederer showed [Js Qh Kh Ad]. The turn was a 3s and the river a Ah…not improving Lederer’s hand enough to beat the three of a kind kings of Ziigmund. Ziigmund then raked in the pot worth $214,491.

Phil Ivey left with $98,500.

I watched for about 15 more hands…the chip counts were:Seat 1:

  • luckexpress10 ($30,497)
  • Gus Hansen ($33,349.75)
  • trex313 ($43,078.50)
  • durrrr ($133,642)
  • David Benefield ($20,000)
  • Niki Jedlicka ($33,220)
  • Chau Giang ($69,488)
  • Howard Lederer ($71,538)

There were some large pots while I was watching the poker game. One had Patrik Antonius raising to $3,000 and then getting re-raised to $9,000 didn’t take long before another re-raise to $27.000 which durrrr called. With a flop of [4d Jh Ah] Patrik Antonius bet $32k which casued an immediate fold and Patrik Antonius won the pot worth $53,999.50.

A similar hand was played when durrrr raised to $3k was re-raised to $9k and then raised again to $27k which Patrik Antonius called. The flop of [7s 5d 5h] and Patrik was the first to act and checked and right away durrrr bet $39,793.50 pushing in all his chips, this was again a fast fold and durrrr raked in the pot worth $53,999.50 making the last hand large pot that Patrik Antonius won a wash.

They both showed and durrrr had [8c 8s] while trex313 showed [Td 7d]. The river was [8d] and durrrr won with for of a kind 8’s and took the pot worth $207,503.
