Patrik Antonius Plays Resoh at FullTiltPoker.net

April 25th, 2009 by kdollar

Patrik Antonius ($59,843) played against Resoh ($259,866) at the Harlin (heads up) table at FullTiltPoker.net. The limits at the poker table were $1000/$2000.

Since the game was limit hold-em the hands were noticeable smaller then other games I have written about in the past. But the average hand at the table was higher then a lot of games that I have watched at $10k. There were a lot of hands in the $13k range and not very many under $5k.

One of those hands had Resoh betting $2k which Patrik Antonius called pre-flop. The flop came down [Jd 3h 4d] and both players checked. The turn was a [7d] and Antonius bet $2k which was then raised to $4k and again Antonius raised it to $6k which Resoh called. The river card was a [3s] and Patrik Antonius checked while Resoh bet $2k which Antonius called. On the showdown Resoh showed [Kc Ks] and Antonius mucked his hand and Resoh took the pot worth $19,999.50.
After watching for about 75 hands the chip counts were:

Resoh ($270,851.50)
Patrik Antonius ($48,829.50)

Gus Hansen Heads Up Against Urindanger

April 18th, 2009 by kdollar

Gus Hansen played heads up against Urindanger at two tables. They were playing at the Hansen Suckout as well as the Hansen Knockout. The table were both $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi games.

At the Hansen Knockout Gus Hansen had $104,986 while had a dominating stack of Urindanger ($338,016). The opposite was true at the Hansen Suckout where Gus Hansen had a commanding chip stack of ($345,662) against Urindanger’s ($43,595.50).

Just my luck as I start watching the tables thinking I am going to see some great heads up action….Gus Hansen sits out and they don’t play anymore hands and I am able to watch 7 hands at each table barely enough to see anything very exiting.

luckexpress10 ($10,488) played against SirWatts ($61,495.50) at the Gaze heads up poker table at Full Tilt Poker.net. The table limits are $300/$600 and they played HA.

I haven’t posted in awhile but there really hasn’t been much high stakes action at Full Tilt. It may have been the times I have been checking but I kept striking out this week, it may be because of the SCOOP tournaments being played at Poker Stars or a large offline tournament.

One of the bigger hands played betweent he players was a hand where SirWatts raised to $1,200 after the hole cards which luckexpress10 called. The flop was [Qh Kh 6d] and luckexpress10 checked while SirWatts bet $1,800…after a bit of thinking luckexpress10 raised to $6,000 and SirWatts raised again to $22,200 and Luckexpress10 went all-in calling with his last $11,374. Both players showed at this time and SirWatts had [Kc Jh 3c Th] while luckexpress10 showed [Qd 8d 3d Qs]. The turn was a [ 4d] and the river a [2d]….giving luckexpress10 a queen high flush against SirWatts kings. Luckexpress10 then received the pot worth $38,347.50.

Another large pot had SirWatts again raising to $1,200 and a call from luckexpress10. The flop was [4c Kc Ks] and luckexpress10 checked while SirWatts bet another $1,200 and luckexpress10 just called. The turn was a [9h] and luckexpress10….you guessed it, he checked and again SirWatts bet this time $2,400…Luckexpress10 took some time and raised to $6k which was called. The river was a [Qs] and SirWatts bet $9k after luckexpress10 checked and luckexpress then went all-in with $29,647.50 and SirWatts called after requesting some time to think about the decision. SirWatts won with three kings against Luckexpress10′s two pair. SirWatts was then shipped the pot worth $67,864.50.

After watching for awhile and after the couple big hands the game slowed down and I stopped watching but at that point the chip counts were:

SirWatts ($78,876.50)
luckexpress10 ($17,098.50)
