Matt Hawrilenko ($168,825.50), Buster Love ($105,995) and Neo81 ($105,453) played $1000/$2000 Limit Hold-em at Full Tilt.com. Also at the table was Da Munsta ($58,961), rafiboy ($38,500), vlindermes ($51,216.50).

One of the larger hands that was played was between Buster Love, Matt Hawrilenko and Neo81. They all called Matt Hawrilenko’s pre-flop raise to $3k. After the flop Buster Love bet $2k which was then raised to $3k by Hawrilenko and at this point Neo81 folded while Buster added another $1k to the pot which Matt called. After the turn card Hawrilenko checked while Buster Love bet $2k which Hawrilenko called. On the river the same thing happened Matt checked and Buster bet which Matt called. Buster Love ended up winning the hand with A4 hitting the Ace on the turn and winning the $25,997 pot.

After watching for around 125 hands Matt Hawrilenko went down more then $68k down to around $100k. While Neo81 went up $50k.

Phil Ivey Plays Matt Harilenko at FullTilt

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Phil Ivey ($353,832) played against Matt Hawrilenko ($65,992.50) at the $2000/$4000 Limit Hold’em table at FullTilt. They played at Hawrilenko’s table which is a heads up table.

This was one of the fastest games I have ever watched. They was not much waiting (thinking) during the game and at times just watching was hard because it seemed like they were playing at least 300+ hands per hour. You would be watching one hand, look away, and all of the sudden there is a new flop and a couple bets.

I started watching pretty late in the game since Ivey had $300k while Matt Hawrilenko only had $65k. The first 15 hands I watched Matt went down to $20k but then won a streak of hands and over the course of about 10 hands and about 10 seconds (well, not that fast….) and all of the sudden had a respectiable $131k.

Well it didn’t last long until Phil Ivey was able to tip the game back to his control. After about 50 more hands Matt Harilenko went broke at the table. When he finally lost his chips he said “alright, you’re officially cut off for a while”, “gg” and Phil Ivey replied “thx”, “best of luck” and Matt Hawrilenko left by saying “ty, u2″.

At the end Phil ivey left with $418k.

John Juanda, OMGClayAiken and Trex313 Play at Full Tilt

Friday, October 31st, 2008

John Juanda ($102,296.50), OMGClayAiken ($71,098.50) and trex313 ($49,600) played at RailHeaven (6 max) at FullTiltPoker.net. Also playing at the poker table was lady marmelade ($40,000) and Vaga_Lion ($50,000).

The first hand that I am going to write about was between Vaga_Lion and lady marmelade. After the hole cards were dealt Vaga_Lion raised to $3k and lady marmelade went over the top and raised to $9,500 after a little bit of thinking Vaga_Lion decided to raise all-in which was called by lady marmelade who had $33,500 left. Lady marmelade showed [Ks Qs] while Vaga_Lion showed [As Ac] the flop was [7s Ts Td] … turn [Qc] and the river was [9d] no help to Lady marmelade who needed a J, K or another Q. Vaga_Lion took down the $86,497 pot with his pocket aces holding up.

After a couple hands another large pot was played and this time it was between lady marmelade and trex313. Lady marmelade raised to $3,500 and was called by trex313 in the big blind. The flop was [2h 9s 7d] and trex313 bet $4,800 and lady marmelade raised that to $14,000. This didn’t deter trex313 because he went over the top again to $63,593 and lady marmelade called with $25k. They both flip over their cards and trex313 had [Ad Jh] and lady marmelade had [Ah 9dh]. The turn was [5c] and the river was [Th] neither any help to the trailing trex313. Lady marmelade took the pot with a pair of nines and took with it $85,497.

The next hand I will talk about was a monster hand between Vaga_lion and John Juanda. There was a pre-flop raise of $3,000 by lion and he was called by marmelade and Juanda. The flop of [7c 3d Ad] made marmelade check and Vaga_Lion bet $6,500, marmelade folds and Juanda called. The turn was a [8d] and Jaunada bet $14k after taking some time but was then raised by Vaga_Lion to $42k. At this point John Juanda took awhile to think about his next play but soon enough he raised to $85,292.50 going all-in which was called by Vaga_Lion with $28,997. At this point John Juanda shows [Qd 4d] while
Vaga_Lion shows [8c 8h]. The river was a [As] pairing the board giving Vaga_Lion a full house while Juanda’s flush goes down the drain because of this. Vaga_Lion then took the monster poker pot worth $163,991…While John Juanda mulls his huge beat on the river…

When I stopped watching the chip counts were:

  • lady marmelade ($134,683)
  • John Juanda ($107,792.50), is sitting out
  • Vaga_Lion ($157,991)
  • OMGClayAiken ($85,093.50)
  • trex313 ($112,387)

Durrr, Ivey, Juanda, Urindanger Play at Railbird Heaven

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

durrrr ($196,097), Phil Ivey ($702,506.50), John Juanda ($373,484.50), Urindanger ($220,214.50) and elmariachimacho ($68,268) played at the $500/$1000 No Limit hold-em table. The table name is RailHeaven (6 max) and it didn’t disappoint.

You know it’s a good game when the $50k hands are not that interesting. There are a lot of hands in the hand history after the jump but I am going to talk about two huge hands in particular. When you see how much the pots were worth you will know why….

One of the hands was between Urindanger and John Juanda. On a flop of [Jc Kh 6h] Phil Ivey checks, Urindanger checks and John Juanda bet $7,800. Phil Ivey then disconnects and ends up having to fold the hand because his time ran out while Urindanger raises to $26,000k which is called by John after thinking about it for about 10 seconds. The turn was a [8c] and Urindanger takes his time and then throws out a $48k bet which Juanda then takes time and decides to throw all his money in $357,777.50….Urindanger is covered but is still about to call with $125,714.50. They both flip over their cards and Juanda shows [JhKs] (two pair so far) while Urindanger has [6d Kd] (two pair…but smaller second pair). The river comes down a [Qs] no help to Urindanger and Juanda collects the pot worth $408,429!

The next hand was between Phil ivey, elmariachimacho and durrrr. On a flop of [Jh 3c 4h] durrrr bets $7,300 and gets called by both players. The turn was a [8s] and durrrr makes a continuation bet of $27,400 which was called by Phil Ivey while elmariachimacho folded. The river card was a [3d] and durrrr this time checks while Phil Ivey bet $68k …. time went by and durrrr then went all-in raising the pot to $182,477.50. Which after requesting time and thinking on it Phil Ivey called. When they showed their cards durrrr shows a [5c Ad] …. uhhh playing the board…You have NOTHING?!?!? while Phil Ivey has [Qh Jc] and had two pair. Phil Ivey took down the pot and was able to read durrrr’s monster bluff and with that took the massive $451,155 pot.

There were a lot of other good hands and I encourage to to check out the hand history below. After about 150 hands and Phil Ivey leaving the table the chips looked like:

elmariachimacho ($88,067)
John Juanda ($601,320)
durrrr ($269,492)
Phil Ivey ($854,551), <— Almost a million at the table…
Urindanger ($365,446)

Phil Ivey ($235,967.50) played against Matt Hawrilenko ($43,961) in a heads up $2000/$40000 match at the Matt Hawrilenko table.

It was a great table to watch with the blinds so high because each hand was almost guaranteed action. There were a lot of $20k-30k hands. The average hand played at the table was $17k with 86% of the hands going to the flop and over 200 hands per hour.

One hand that was an interesting had Matt Hawrilenko raising to $4k and Ivey re-raising to $6k. On the flop [8s 2h Th] was dealt and Ivey bet $2k which was called by Hawrilenko. On the turn was a [2s] and Phil ivey bet $4k which was then raised by Hawrilenko to $8k which Ivey called. The river card was a [3d] and Ivey this time checked while Hawrilenko bet $4k which Ivey called. On the showdown Matt Hawrilenko showed [jc 2c] and hand 3 of a kind twos. Matt Harilkenko likely won the hand on the turn and took down the pot worth $39,999.50.

Another large hand at the table had Phil Ivey raising to $4k pre-flop. The hole cards came down [9c 2s 6c] and Hawrilenko checked while Ivey bet $2k and was then re-raised to $4k which Ivey called after taking some time to think about it. On the turn [5h] was dealt and Matt bet $4k and Ivey called. The river was a [3c] and Harilenko bet $4k and Ivey raised to $8k and then was re-raised to $12k. Phil Ivey, Lars Luzak Play No Limit Hold-em

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Phil Ivey ($280,888.50) played against LarsLuzak ($56,349.50) at Railheaven. The $500/$1000 No Limit Hold-em table has been popular lately and this heads up match was a good one to watch. After watching for about 70 hands David Benyamine sat down with $100k and joined the action.

There were a couple big hands played while I watched the table. One was when LarsLuzak raised $3k after the whole cards were dealt and Ivey called. After the flop of [Jh 3s Jc] LarsLuzak bet $4k and was was raised by Ivey for an additional $12k which then LarsLuzak re-raised again to $29,600…Phil Ivey then re-re-raised to $47,200 which at this point LarsLuzak folded his cards and Phil Ivey took down the pot worth $65, 199.50.

A few hands later LarsLuzak raised again to $3k pre-flop and Ivey called. The flop of [6d Th 7s] came down and LarsLuzak bet $4k and Phil Ivey raised again to $12k this time LarsLuzak just called. The turn was a [8s] and both checked and the river card was another 8 but this time diamonds. Phil Ivey then bet $24k which was called by LarsLuzakafter thining for a bit. Phil Ivey showed two pair eights and sixes while LarsLuzak had a eight high straight. LarsLuzak took the pot worth $77,999.50.

The high stake poker hand at the table was bigger then both of the two pots that I just went over. It was between David Benyamine and LarsLuzak. After the hole cards were dealt Benyamine raised to $3k which LarsLuzakcalled. On the flop of [Kh 7h Qs] Luzak checked and Benyamine bet $4k which was called by Luzak. The turn [2h] had Luzak checking and Benyamine betting once again $4k which was then alled. On the turn [2h] was dealt and this time Benyamine bet $12k after Luzak checked which again was called. On the river [4d] came down and Benyamine bet $34k after LarsLuzak checked again…This time Luzak thought for awhile and then bet $127,191 going all-in. David Benyamine then quickly called for the rest of his stack which was $41,995….On the showdown LarsLuzak flipped over [3h Ah] and had an ace high flush….Benyamine folded and LarsLuzak raked in the monster pot worth $189,990.50!

A little while later David Benyamine and LarsLuzak got into it again with big bets coming from Lars Luzak after every card. This time David Benyamine was on the defensive calling the big bets until the river when the pot was up to $139,222 and he went all-in for an additional $132,384.50. Luzak folded at this point and David Benyamine took the large pot.

At the end of about 150 hands the chip counts were:

  • Gus Hansen ($50,000), is sitting out
  • BeepBeepImaJeep ($102,498)
  • David Benyamine ($271,605.50)

The flop of [Ks Js 7h] gave good2cu a flush draw with his hole cards [Qs As]. Hoss_TBF Plays Ugadabugada 500/1000 Limit Hold-em

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Hoss_TBF ($62,037) played against Ugadabugada ($77,922.50) in a heads up $500/$1000 Limit Hold-em game at Full Tilt Poker.com.

It was nice to watch a game other then the usual $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi high stakes games. Though, the game wasn’t terribly exciting with the average pot size $3609.

While I watched Ugadabugada was definitely controlling the table and taking down some important pots. One hand that was interesting was a hand where Hoss_TBF was betting and being raised by Ugadabugada. Hoss_TBF would call and this happened twice during the betting sequence. In the end it seemed that Ugadabugada made his hand in the end when a second ten came on the board and gave Ugadabugada three of a kind tens. Hoss_TBF mucked his hand but I have a feeling had the hand until the river and lost the pot worth $10,000.

At the end of about 100 hands the chip totals were:

Hoss_TBF ($49,516.50)
Ugadabugada ($90,401)

Markus Golser Plays Against Halfdozen999

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Markus Golser ($189,166) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi against halfdozen999 ($67,194.50) at Full Tilt Poker.com. They played at the Barn which had 6 seats but they ended up just playing heads up with no other players joining the table.

The game had a lot of pre-flop folds but a couple hands were around $10-15k. One of the hands was a hand between the two with halfdozen999 holding [Qh Ks Kh Jd] and Markus Golser with [9s 7d Kd 3h] and the board showing [2d Js 5s Jh 5c]. halfdozen999 won the hand with three of a kind jacks and took the pot worth $16,799.50.

Another interesting hand during the play had a board showing [2s 7h 8h 5c] [Qs]. After the river card halfdozen999 bet $19,200 and right away Markus Golser threw out a raise to $38,400. Halfdozen999 called adding an additional $19,200 to the pot. They both showed their hands with Golser showing first [6s 9d Td 9c] and then halfdozen999 with [9s 6d 5s 8c]. Both of them had the nine high straight and split the nearly $100k pot.

The final hand between the two was the most exciting and had a pot worthy of a high stakes game. The hand started normally without a pre-flop bet and just a call from halfdozen999 in the small blind for $200 to enter the pot. The flop was [9d 6h 2d] and both checked going to the turn which was a [3s]. Markus Golser bet $800 and was then raised to $3,200 (now we are getting somewhere) then Golser re-raises to $10,400. Halfdozen999 then thinks for a bit and what do you know…he re-re-raises to $32,000 which Markus Golser takes sometime but eventually makes the call. The final river card was an [8s] and Markus Golser throws out a raise of $64,800 and halfdozen999 quickly calls with his last $41,190 and is all-in. Markus Golser then shows his hand [7c 4s Js 5c] and halfdozen999 see’s the nine high straight that was caught on the river and mucks the card and leaves the table. I am sure disgusted with the results of the hand he probably had until the river 8. Markus Golser then rakes in the hand worth $147,180!

At the end Markus Golser ended up with ($256,350) while halfdozen999 lost his buy-in and left the table.
