Benyamine, Hansen and SteveSung Play Omaha H/L

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

David Benyamine ($59,986.50), Gus Hansen ($21,000) and SteveSung ($84,991) played $2000/$4000 Limit Omaha H/L. Also playing at the table was howisitfeellike ($26,491) and EazyPeazy ($114,586.50). They were played at the Patrik (6 Max) table at FullTilt Poker.com.

EazyPeazy was winning a lot of the hands while I was watching. A couple of the first hands I watched was when EazyPeazy won a hand worth $41,997. At the river Gus Hansen bet $4k and EazyPeazy went over the top and raised another $4k and Hansen then folded. The very next hand EazyPeazy again went up against Gus Hansen. EazyPeazy was betting and Hansen was calling through out the hand. At the end of the hand the board was showing [3h 9c 4c Qh] 7c] and EazyPeazy had [6c 2d 5s 6h] and made a seven high straight. Hansen mucked his hand and EazyPeazy raked in the pot worth $40,997.

After another 10 hands EazyPeazy also picked up two more pots. One hand against howisitfeellike and Eazypeazy won with a full house (nines full of aces) and picked up a pot worth $68,997! Then a couple hands later against SteveSung, EazyPeazy was able to take down the $55,997 pot with an ace high flush.

At the end of about 50 hands the totals were:

howisitfeellike ($28,972)
Gus Hansen ($49,999)
SteveSung ($50,000)
David Benyamine ($18,836)

EazyPeazy ($250,548.50) Left a bit earlier but with more then double what he started with (when I started watching the table)

Mike Matusow Plays Omaha Hi/Low

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Mike Matusow ($33,694) played $300/$600 Limit Omaha H/L against stevesbets ($15,063), TorontoToro ($4,187.50), TheComeUp ($15,798) and charzard ($30,861.50). They played at the Drive (6 max) table at Full Tilt.com.

I haven’t watched a Limit Omaha H/L game in a bit and when I usually do it always seems like Mike Matusow is a part of them. The game was averaging a respectable $3,729 per pot and 112 hands per hour with a 43% Plr per flop.

The largest hand I saw played at the table was between Mike Matusow and TorontoToro. Mike Matusow was betting and getting re-raised by TorontoToro through out the hand. Finally the last bet Mike Matusow checked and TorontoToro bet $600. Mike Matusow took some time and was deciding between laying down the hand or calling…He choose to call and it was the right decision. Mike Matusow had [As Ks 4s Jd] two pair, Jacks and Tens, for high while TorontoToro had [Ac 5c 2d 4h] a pair of Tens, for high. Matusow raked in the pot worth $7,497.

After about 70 hands the chip totals were:

  • new samurai ($12,000)
  • TorontoToro ($17,505)
  • TheComeUp ($4,484.50)
  • bixiu ($9,657)
  • charzard ($30,886)
  • Mike Matusow ($35,029)

John Juanda Plays Coin Flip Pot Limit Omaha

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

John Juanda ($147,881) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi against ICallSoWhat ($27,995.50), OnTheRize ($16,399.50) and LoLiNa ($59,991). They played at the Panthoen (6 Max) poker table at Full Tilt Poker.

While I was watching there was 8 hands in a row that were $23,999. I haven’t watch a game like this for awhile where none of the players were afraid to bet, raise and re-raise pre-flop. It made the game a good one to watch and a big portion of each of the players chip stacks were at stake nearly every hand.

Well as I keep watching the table it is the same pattern, it wasn’t just 8 in a row like I mentioned earlier but it has been the last 16 hands and counting have been the same way. Pre-flop one bets the other raises and finally the last person bets to $8000. They all call and check the whole way down. Pretty funny to watch and John Juanda mentioned the “suspense” of playing like this.

Talk about throwing your money in the middle and hoping the poker gods help you out. This is truly gambling and none of the players seem to budging on the their $23,999 betting game.

The chat box was ranting and raving about how John Juanda kept losing and his stack was dwindling being split up between the two other players and he finally said “Shut Up” “Just lost 100k straight”, “STFU”, “This is too annoying now”. He finally sat out with $51,876….A far cry from $147k that he had when I started watching which was about 20 minutes.

After watching 4 hands John Juanda switched seats and was back at it again. The first two hands went to Lolina which would have been John Juanda’s cards if he didn’t switch his position at the table…The next hand then went to ICallSoWhat. After losing the hand to ICallSoWhat he said he was going to quit if he didn’t win the next hand….And he ends up winning the hand and he responded in the chat box “thy dont want me to quit” (I think referring to the poker gods). He then lost the next two hands…One hand was won by Lolina the other by ICallSoWhat. Not to be discouraged the poker gods had John Juanda win another hand.

Well hand after hand John Juanda kept losing. Lolina was basically scooping up pot after pot and John Juanda started to buy back in $8k at a time so he would be able to play the hands. Finally after buying in 5 times he wins a hand. John Juanda in the chat after losing and losing and Lolina sitting out iwth $184k says “yea I was the donkey” about his play at the table…

When they left the table…they played 50 hands in a row of $23,999 Coin flip and John Juanda went broke with his original $147k and about 5 buy-in’s of $8k. While Lolina went up to $175,969.50 and ICallSoWhat left with $103,974.50.

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

John Juanda ($8,000), durrrr ($94,217.50) and Patrik Antonius ($154,659) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi. Also at the table was ICallSoWhat ($73,695), IAmSoSo ($14,599) and later at the table was OnTheRise and Aeron73.

The table was a good one to watch with the average pot over $10k and 46% Plr/Flp and 65 hands per hour. Most of the large hands were in the 20k range until a monster hand between ICallSoWhat and durrrr. The board was [4d Js 7c Kh 6h] giving Durrrr a straight on the river with a hand of [8s 9d Jd 5d] against ICallSoWhat’s two pair, Jacks and Sevens (which he made on the flop). Durrrr, Benyamine Play Limit Omaha Hi

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Durrrr ($16,037), David Benyamine ($111,160) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi at Full Tilt.com. Later in the game ArmenH1 joined the table.

The third hand I watched was a good one with the board showing [8d 2d 8s 8c 7c]. Durrr played the board and had three of a kind eights while David Benyamine had a full house eights and pocket kings. Durrrr was committed to the hand and went all-in which was called by David Benyamine who raked in the pot worth $33,273.50.

Another big hand was when Durrrr had a full house, Eights full of Sevens while David Benyamine had a full house, Twos full of Eights. Durrrr raked in the pot worth $32,398.50. There were a couple other hands in the teens but nothing as exciting as the two hands I talked about.
Durrrr had a solid run in the next 40 or so hands and when the table ended the chip stacks were:

  • Durrrr ($36,994)
  • David Benyamine ($121,192)

Durrr, Cole South and Markus Golser Play at Full Tilt.com

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

OMGClayAiken ($39,289), Cole South ($103,736.50), Markus Golser ($79,647) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi. Also at the table was Urindanger ($73,852), patatino ($77,386) and applsgirl ($32,831). Durrr soon replaced OMGClayAiken sitting down with $40k.

The forth hand that I watched was a good one between applsgirl and Cole South. The flop of [5s 8c Th] seemed good for applsgirl who had [Ac 8d Td Ad] Aces and tens and knowing that she also has one of the eights. Cole South had [Jd 9d Js Qs] and applsgirl put pressure by going on after the flop. Cole South called and got a Q to hit the straight with the turn-river cards: [Qc] [5d]. The pot was worth $61,259…soon after the hand applsgirl added $20k after going broke on the hand.

There were a couple other $20k-$40k hands but nothing too crazy happened. John Juanda joined the table which brought some life when a couple other players left. After about 40 hands the chip totals were:

  • durrrr ($83,189)
  • Markus Golser ($91,678)
  • applsgirl ($38,598)
  • John Juanda ($51,794)

Markus Golser Plays Against Halfdozen999

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Markus Golser ($189,166) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi against halfdozen999 ($67,194.50) at Full Tilt Poker.com. They played at the Barn which had 6 seats but they ended up just playing heads up with no other players joining the table.

The game had a lot of pre-flop folds but a couple hands were around $10-15k. One of the hands was a hand between the two with halfdozen999 holding [Qh Ks Kh Jd] and Markus Golser with [9s 7d Kd 3h] and the board showing [2d Js 5s Jh 5c]. halfdozen999 won the hand with three of a kind jacks and took the pot worth $16,799.50.

Another interesting hand during the play had a board showing [2s 7h 8h 5c] [Qs]. After the river card halfdozen999 bet $19,200 and right away Markus Golser threw out a raise to $38,400. Halfdozen999 called adding an additional $19,200 to the pot. They both showed their hands with Golser showing first [6s 9d Td 9c] and then halfdozen999 with [9s 6d 5s 8c]. Both of them had the nine high straight and split the nearly $100k pot.

The final hand between the two was the most exciting and had a pot worthy of a high stakes game. The hand started normally without a pre-flop bet and just a call from halfdozen999 in the small blind for $200 to enter the pot. The flop was [9d 6h 2d] and both checked going to the turn which was a [3s]. Markus Golser bet $800 and was then raised to $3,200 (now we are getting somewhere) then Golser re-raises to $10,400. Halfdozen999 then thinks for a bit and what do you know…he re-re-raises to $32,000 which Markus Golser takes sometime but eventually makes the call. The final river card was an [8s] and Markus Golser throws out a raise of $64,800 and halfdozen999 quickly calls with his last $41,190 and is all-in. Markus Golser then shows his hand [7c 4s Js 5c] and halfdozen999 see’s the nine high straight that was caught on the river and mucks the card and leaves the table. I am sure disgusted with the results of the hand he probably had until the river 8. Markus Golser then rakes in the hand worth $147,180!

At the end Markus Golser ended up with ($256,350) while halfdozen999 lost his buy-in and left the table.
